Roi Et Province is one of the provinces in the northeastern region of Thailand. It is bounded on the north by Kalasin, on the east by Mukdahan and Yasothon, on the south by Sisaket and Surin, and on the west by Maha Sarakham.

Located 493 kilometers norteast of Bangkok, Roi Et Province has a total area of 8,299 km² and an estimated population of more than 1.3 million. Topography consists mostly of flat lands drained by the Chi, Yang and Mun rivers. Major products are rice, sugarcane, and tapioca.
