Maha Sarakham Province Thailand

Maha Sarakham Province is one of the provinces in the northeastern region (Isan) of Thailand is Maha Sarakham. The neigboring provinces are Kalasin (northeast), Roi Et (east), Surin (south), Buriram and Khon Kaen (west).

Located 456 kilometers northeast of Bangkok, Maha Sarakham Province has a total land area of 5,291.7 km2 and an estimated population of more than 960,000 in 2015. Topography consists mostly of plateau drained by the Chi River. Main products are rice, sugarcane and tapioca.
