Juan Karlos Labajo is a Filipino singer, songwriter, guitarist, actor and model. He rose to fame after he joined and became a finalist in the singing competition The Voice Kids Philippines in 2014. His own life story was featured in the popular ABS-CBN television program Maala-ala Mo Kaya (MMK) with himself playing the lead role. With his band, Juan Karlos is currently busy performing in different venues.

Jk is half-German and half-Filipino. His parents left him when he was still a baby and he grew up under the care of his maternal grandmother and uncle Jovanni. His father had reportedly died while his mother also passed away when JK was twelve years old. As a child, he worked by collecting and selling junks to earn money. At school, he was bullied because of his foreign complexion.
JK is rumored to be dating Asia’s Next Top Model winner Maureen Wroblewitz but he insists they are just friends and that his romantic life should be kept private.
JK entered the entertainment industry when he joined the ABS-CBN singing competition The Voice Kids in 2014. In the blind audition, he sang Adam Sandler’s “Grow Old With You” and two coaches turned for him. He chose Bamboo Manalac as his coach. Eventually, he placed third with Lyca Gairanod as the champion. In 2016, Juan Karlos joined Pinoy Big Brother – Lucky 7 as a housemate and I Love OPM as a contestant but he failed to win in both reality shows.

Scandals and Controversies
In October of 2018, JK had a “twitter war” with fellow singer Darren Espanto over a tweet that the former posted insinuating that the latter is gay. Jk removed the tweet and claimed his account was hacked.
In March, 2019, JK was bashed by netizens over his cursing an audience member during a show in Makati City.
