2 1863 Birth of Gen. Rafael Crame in Malabon City, first Filipino director of the Philippine Constabulary
3 1646 Spanish fleet repulsed the Dutch invaders in Manila Bay. The day is celebrated as the La Naval de Manila.
4 1947 Creation of the Department of Commerce and Industry through EO 94 signed by President Manuel Roxas
5 1762 Manila was surrendered to the British invaders.
5 2018 President Rodrigo Duterte signed Republic Act 11086 or “An Act Converting the Municipality of Santo Tomas in the Province of Batangas into a Component City”.
6 1912 Inauguration of Manila Hotel – the oldest five-star hotel in the country.
7 1897 Establishment of the First Philippine Republic at Biak-na-Bato, Bulacan
8 2000 Creation of the cities of Digos in Davao del Sur and Koronadal in South Cotabato
9 1820 Some French and other foreigners were killed by Filipinos in Manila and Cavite on suspicion that these foreigners poisoned the water sources which caused the cholera epidemic. This event came to be known as Cholera Massacre.

24 1927 Birth of Marcelo Briones Fernan in Cebu City. He was the 18th Chief Justiuce of the Supreme Courth from July 01, 1988 to December 06, 1991
1934 Birth of Edgardo J. Angara in Baler, Quezon (now Aurora). He was Senate President from January 18, 1993 to August 29, 1995.
25 1903 Establishment of John Hay Air Station in Baguio City
26 2007 President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo grants presidential pardon to former President Joseph Estrada who was convicted of plunder.
27 1893 Birth of Chief Justice and first ambassador to the Vatican Manuel V. Moran in Binalonan, Pangasinan
27 1911 Dr. Fe Del Mundo was born in Manila. She was conferred National Scientist Award in 1980 – first woman to receive the distinguished award.
28 2014 Creation of Davao Occidental province
29 1866 General Antonio Luna was born in Binondo, Manila.
30 1908 Publication of the Aves de Rapina as editorial of the El Renacimiento. Felt being alluded to as one of the “Birds of Prey”, Dean Worcester filed a libel suit which he won and caused the newspaper to close down.
1947 Birth of Prospero Nograles in Davao City – lawyer, Congressman, House Speaker
