Samut Songkhram Province is one of the provinces in the central region of Thailand. It is bounded on the northwest by Ratchaburi, on the northeast by Samut Sakhon, on the south by the Gulf of Thailand, and on the southwest by Phetchaburi. The famous Siamese twins, Chang and Eng Bunker, were born here on May 11, 1811.

Located 81 kilometers southwest of Bangkok, Samut Songkhram Province has a total land area of 416.7 km2, second smallest province. In 2015, the province had more than 193,000 people. The mouth of the Mae Klong River is found in this province. Salt production is the most important source of livelihood of the people.
