Ma. Cecilia Diaz Villarosa is a Filipino journalist, broadcast media practitioner, and government regulatory official. She built her professional foundation over decades of hands-on experience across major national broadcast networks, news platforms, and public communications.

Throughout her media career, she worked extensively as a field reporter and program personality with several notable media organizations:

1. GMA Network / GMA News: She served as a long-time field broadcast journalist, filing television reports for flagship news programs such as Balitanghali, Unang Balita, and 24 Oras, as well as radio reporting for Super Radyo dzBB.

2. People’s Television Network (PTV News): She worked as a broadcast journalist and news personality for the state-owned television network, contributing to public affairs coverage.

3. DWAN 1206 AM: She joined the radio station as a program host and personality, engaging in daily public affairs broadcasts such as Morning Chill.

4. The Platform News: She contributed as a news journalist and writer for the digital news outlet.

In December 2025, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appointed her as a member of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), where she replaced outgoing board member Jan Marini Cadungog for a term running through September 30, 2026.

Ma. Cecilia Diaz Villarosa is the daughter of the late veteran broadcaster Lito Villarosa, who was a pioneering Radyo Patrol reporter and anchor for DZMM and ABS-CBN.
