She has been serving as Presidential Adviser for Sustainable and Resilient Communities since April 2026 under the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Previously, she was the secretary of the Department of Tourism (DOT). Before that, she was the mayor of Liloan, a municipality in Cebu Province, Philippines.

Mayor Christina Frasco also served as the spokesperson of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
