Sara Duterte is a Filipino lawyer and politician. She is currently serving as vice president of the Philippines. She is also the Secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd). Previously, she served as mayor of Davao City, the premier city in the whole island of Mindanao.

July 2, 2022 – Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio announced the opening of the Office of the Vice President satellite offices in Dagupan, Cebu, Tacloban, Davao, Zamboanga City, and Tandag in Surigao del Sur. According to her, they opened these satellite offices to make OVP services more accessible.
June 19, 2022 – Sara Duterte took her oath of office as the 15th vice president of the Philippines in Davao City in the presence of her father President Rodrigo Duterte and her mother Elizabeth Zimmerman. Supreme Court Justice Ramon Paul Hernando administered her oath-taking after a thanksgiving mass which was attended by Archbishop Romulo Valles.
May 9, 2022 – Sara Duterte bagged the vice presidency by defeating nine other candidates including Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan who placed second. She got 32,208,417 votes or 61.53% while Kiko Pangilinan got 9,329,207 or 17.82%.
November 16, 2021 – Sara Duterte announced her support of the presidential bid of Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Later, Lakas-CMD adopted him as its presidential candidate.

November 13, 2021 – Sara Duterte filed her certificate of candidacy for vice president under the Lakas-CMD party which was founded by former President Fidel Ramos but which is now chaired by former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
November 9, 2021 – Sara Duterte withdrew her candidacy for mayor.
On October 2, 2021, Sara Duterte filed her certificate of candidacy for mayor. On the same day, Her father, President Rodrigo Duterte, announced that her daughter Sara is his candidate for president who will run with Senator Bong Go.
