In the May 13, 2019 election, he ran under the banner of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) with no opponent. He ran for re-election in 2022 and won over Techie Dator of KBL and two independent candidates.
The first legislative district of Quezon Province is composed of the city of Tayabas and the municipalities of Burdeos, General Nakar, Infanta, Jomalig, Lucban, Mauban, Pagbilao, Panukulan, Patnanungan, Polillo, Real, and Sampaloc.
