Arthur Defensor Jr. is a Filipino lawyer and politician. He is currently serving as governor of Iloilo Province in Western Visayas Region.
In the May 13, 2019 election, he ran for governor under PDP-Laban Party and defeated incumbent Congressman Dr. Ferjenel Biron of the Nacionalista Party (NP) and three other relatively unknown candidates. He ran for re-election as a candidate of the National Union Party (NUP) and won over independent candidate Noli Gil.
