Gerardo Noveras is a Filipino lawyer and politician. He served as governor and vice-governor of Aurora Province in Central Luzon Region, Philippines. Running under the banner of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) Party in the May 13, 2019 election, he defeated Ariel Bitong of the Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino (LDP).
Atty. Noveras has been in office since 2013 succeeding Bella Angara Castillo. In 2016, he was charged with graft and corruption for using his own dump truck in a government project. In 2018, he was slapped with a 9-month suspension.
On September 4, 2024, the Sandiganbayan has convicted former Aurora governor Gerardo “Jerry” A. Noveras and seven others of their graft charge involving the irregular repair of a bridge and road in 2014. (Read more…)Personal Information
