At age 15, Jansen appeared as the lead actor in the indie film John Denver Trending. He was discovered by Director Arden Rod Condes who is also from the same town of Pandan, Antique.
The film John Denver Trending was the big winner in Cinemalaya Film Festival 2019. It brought home the Best Feature Film, Best Actor for Jansen, Best Editing, Best Musical Scoring, and Best Cinematography Awards.
In 2020, he appeared in his first television program, Maalaala Mo kaya of ABS-CBN.
