Prachinburi Province is one of the provinces of the eastern region of Thailand. Neighboring provinces are Nakhon Ratchasima (north), Sa Kaeo (east), Chachoengsao (south), and Nakhon Nayok (west).
Located 176 kilometers from Bangkok, Prachinburi has a total area of 4,762.4 km2 and an estimated population of 484,000 in 2015. Topography is low areas drained by the Prachin Buri River. The northern part is mountainous and hilly. Rice and fish farming and fruit growing are the most important industries in the province. Tourism is being promoted to give additional sources of income for the people. Industrialization of the province began with the establishment of industrial estates. Honda Motors is one of the heavy industrial locators here.
