Nakhon Nayok Province: Profile, Tourist Spots

Nakhon Nayok Province is one of the provinces of the central region of Thailand. It is bounded on the north by the province of Saraburi, on the east by Nakhon Ratchasima and Prachin Buri, on the south by Chachoengsao, and on the west by Pathum Thani. It is located on the northeast of the country’s capital Bangkok.

Nakhon Nayok has a total land area of 2,122 km2 and an estimated population of more than 257,000 in 2015. Topography consists mostly of flat lands but the northeastern parts are mountainous. Rice farmong and fruit growing are the most important sources of income but the government is heavily promoting tourism as additional industry. The province is home to Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy and St. Theresa International College.
