Nesthy Petecio is a Filipino boxer. She is the first Filipino female athlete to win a medal in boxing at the Olympics. She won a silver medal from the 2021 Tokyo Olympic games.

On August 3, 2021, Nesthy Petecio fell short of winning the gold medal when she bowed out to Japanese Sena Irie in the women’s featherweight 60-kg final boxing match at the 2021 Tokyo Summer Olympics. Previously, she won over Italy’s Irma Testa via split decision in the semifinal round. She also defeated Colombia’s Yeni Marcela Arias Castaneda in the quarterfinals and top-ranked Lin Yu-Ting of Chinese Taipei in her first fight.
For winning the silver medal, Nesthy Petecio will receive more than 17 million pesos as prize from public and private entities plus a house and lot in Quezon Province worth 2.5 million from Ovialand.
