EJ Obiena is now considered the Asia’s best player in pole vaulting after he cleared the 5.93-meter mark in the 17th International Golden Roof Challenge in Austria.

After his defeat at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, EJ Obiena competed in the Paris Diamond League where he won the silver medal. At the same time, his world ranking soared from number 11 to number 5.
