History of General Nakar

The town of General Nakar was named after World War II hero Major General Guillermo PeƱamante Nakar of the 71st Infantry Division of the USAFFE. It was formerly a part of Infanta. On July 21, 1949, President Elpidio Quirino issued Executive Order 246 creating the municipality of General Nakar.
