History of Cagdianao

Cagdianao was created on December 23, 1959 as a new municipality of Surigao del Norte. When the province of Dinagat Island was formed by Republic Act No. 9355 in 2012, it became one of its towns.

Cagdianao is a primarily a farming and fishing town where rice, fish and coconut are the main products.
