Richard Gomez is a Filipino actor, model and politician. He is currently serving his first term as congressman of the 4th legislative district of Leyte Province in the Eastern Visayas Region. The fourth district is composed of the city of Ormoc and the municipalities of Albuera, Isabel, Kananga, Matag-ob, Merida, and Palompon.

Running under the ruling PDP-Laban Party in the May 13, 2019 election, he defeated Eric Codilla of Lakas-CMD Party.

Richard Gomez worked as a crew at McDonald’s before he became a commercial model. Later, he was convinced to try acting. He was introduced in the 1984 drama film Hindi Mo Ako Kayang Tapakan starring Charo Santos-Concio and Gina Alajar.
