Dengvaxia issue: Janette Garin, in her capacity as Secretary of the Department of Health (DOH), implemented mass vaccination of children against Dengue using Dengvaxia – a vaccine manufactured by Sanofi Pasteur Inc. which claimed that the vaccine itself has negative side-effects. Two children allegedly died due to this vaccine and their kins filed a case of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide against Janette Garin and several other people.

On November 18, 2020, Quezon City Judge Jose Bautista Jr. ruled “the court went over the record of the case and finds that probable cause exists to issue warrant of arrest against all accused.” All accused including Congresswoman Janette Garin can post bail to avoid imprisonment while the case is being heard.
