In the 2019 election, she ran under the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) Party and defeated Robert Ante Rodrigueza of the ruling PDP-Laban Party, Randy Medina of Lakas and Juan Escandor Jr., an independent candidate.
On September 8, 2020, she passed away due to Covid-19 infection.
