In the May 13, 2019 election, Ian Paul Dy ran for congress under the Nationalist People’s Coalition Party (NPC) and won over Robert “Bong” Siquian of the ruling PDP-Laban Party and two independent candidates. He ran for re-election in 2022 under the same party without any opponent.
