Jonvic Remulla is a Filipino politician. He is currently serving as governor of Cavite Province in Southern Tagalog Region. He ran for re-election in 2022 and handily won over three independent candidates including Weng Aguinaldo and Augusto Pera Jr.
In the May 13, 2019 election, he defeated his bitter political enemy, former governor Ayong Maliksi by a wide margin.
On July 17, 2020 Governor Remulla issued a statement that fellow leaders should not be overly sensitive to comments of the people but should instead focus on solving problems such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
On April 6, 2020, Governor Jonvic Remulla appealed, through a letter, to President Rodrigo Duterte to consider including middle class families in the government’s Social Amelioration Program for those affected by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ). The governor noted that Cavite is home to thousands of middle class families.
