Ranong Province: Profile, Tourist Spots

Ranong Province is one of the provinces in the southern region of Thailand is Ranong. It is bounded on the north by Myanmar, on the east by Chumphon and Surat Thani, on the south by Phang Nga and on the west by the Andaman Sea.

Located 583 kilometers southwest of Bangkok, Ranong Province has a total land area of 3,298.0 km2 and an estimated population of more than 177,000 in 2015. Topography is mountainous except for some narrow valleys and coastal lowlands. Major products are clay, fish, cashew nuts, and rubber.
