Career
Peter Groseclose was inspired to take up skating at age seven in Lakewood, California, because he spent a significant amount of time at the rink watching his older sister, who was a figure skater. He is affiliated with the Potomac Speedskating Club and has been coached by notable champions, including Simon Cho and two-time Olympic medalist John-Henry Krueger. Groseclose gained significant attention at the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics in Gangwon, South Korea, where he finished fifth overall in the 500-meter event.

Groseclose became the first representative for the Philippines to medal at an ISU World Cup tournament, securing a bronze in Bormio, Italy. He is a recipient of the Olympic Solidarity Scholarship from the International Olympic Committee and holds multiple national and Southeast Asian records in short track distances.

In December 2025, Groseclose won his first gold medal in the men’s 500m and a silver medal in the 1,500m at the Southeast Asian Games in Thailand. He also helped the Philippine men’s relay team secure a bronze medal. He is now setting his sight to compete at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina.
