He is currently serving as Director of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Office 10 (PRO 10) in Northern Mindanao with the rank of brigadier general. In 2015, he became the subject of intense scrutiny for his role as the chief of the PNP Aviation Security Unit in the National Capital Region during the height of the bullet-planting controversy. His photo wearing an expensive Rolex wristwatch went viral with a lot of netizens bashing him. He defended himself as an officer who can afford such luxury because his wife is a businesswoman.
