In the May 9, 2022 elections, Rachel del Mar ran for congressman under Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) and won over Nina Mabatid of PDP-Laban, Richard Yap of National Unity Party (NUP), Avenescio Piramide of Lakas-CMD, and independent candidate Manny Momongan.
