Mark Barda started singing as member of his church choir. On July 30, 2022, he auditioned at Idol Philippines where he sang Dahil Sa’yo by Iñigo Pascual. All the four judges namely Gary Valenciano, Moira de la Torre, Regine Velasquez, and Chito Miranda gave their approval for him to go to the next round.
