On July 17, 2022, Benedict Vinluan auditioned at Idol Philippines where he sang Ililigtas Ka Niya by Gary Valenciano. All the four judges namely Gary Valenciano, Moira de la Torre, Regine Velasquez, and Chito Miranda gave their approval for him to go to the next round. However, he was eliminated during the Group Round.
