September 30, 2022 – Kiko Pangilinan was elected as chairman of the Liberal Party.

June 1, 2022 – Senate approved Senate Resolution No. 1018 commending Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan for his immeasurable contributions to the chamber’s fruitful achievements during the 17th and 18th Congresses.

* Kiko Pangilinan lost his vice-presidential bid to Sara Duterte, running mate of former Senator Bongbong Marcos. He said he will become a full time farmer after his lost but he also promised to help the Angat Buhay Foundation to be established by his running mate Leni Robredo who also lost her bid for the presidency.
