History of Libacao

Libacao was the site of heavy fighting between the local guerillas under General Macario Peralta Jr. and the Japanese Forces during World War II.

Economy of Libacao

Libacao is an agricultural town where abaca, rice, coconut, and corn are the primary products. Trading and other service industries dominate the economy of the town center. Tourism is being promoted as an alternative source of livelihood.
