History of Talisay
Talisay was organized as a pueblo in 1849. It was elevated as a city on January 12, 2001 through Republic Act No. 8979.
Economy, Business and Investment in Talisay
Being part of Metropolitan Cebu, Taliay is the home of several subdivisions, malls, and other commercial establishments. Manufactured products include blasting caps, furniture, and food items.
A 25-hectare container port is under construction. When completed, it would put Talisay City in the shipping map.
