History of Kalamansig

Kalamansig was previously a territory of Lebak municipality which was then part of the undivided Cotabato Province. On December 29, 1961, it was formally created as a municipality by virtue of Executive Order no. 459 signed by President Carlos P. Garcia. When Sultan Kudarat was separated as an independent province on November 22, 1973, Kalamansig became one of its towns.
