Running under the banner of National Unity Party (NUP) in the May 13, 2019 election, he defeated Ferdinand Marcus Bañosia of Partido Federal Ng Pilipinas (PFP) and George Ballongay of Partido Demokratikong Sosyalista ng Pilipinas (PDSP).
