Paulo Campos is a Filipino physician and scientist who is considered “The Father of Nuclear Medicine in the Philippines”.

Career Highlights
* Worked at the Philippine General Hospital
* Faculty Member and later Department Head, University of the Philippines College of Medicine
* Established the first Medical Research Laboratory in the Philippines at UP
* Initiated the construction of the first radioisotope laboratory in the Philippines
* Institutionalized the Comprehensive Community Health Program (CCHP)
Worked at the family-owned Emilio Aguinaldo College, a partner-institution of the Medical Center Manila which he founded
* Elected as the first President of the National Academy of Science and Technology in 1978

Contribution to Science
* Nuclear Medicine
* Research on goiter specifically the proposition that a genetic factor contributed to endemic goiter and that the main cause of goiter is iodine intake deficiency. He suggested as treatment the injection of iodized oil.
