  1. Roy, I had no idea that the Philippines had such a thriving film and tv industry. But that’s what’s great about the blogging community, I learn so much about other people’s countries.

    • Yes we do have. Actually, we had what they call the “golden age of Philippine Cinema” in the late 1970’s to early 1980’s” when the industry was churning more than 200 movies a year. Then it went down to less than 100 and many people became jobless. Last year saw a revival and the industry bigwigs are hoping it will be sustained this year and the next.
