St. John’s Church is a small but beautiful church in Bangkok, Thailand. It is conveniently located near the intersection of busy roads like Pahonyothin, Don Mueang Tollway (Vibavhadi Rangsit), and Lad Phrao. It is also near St. John’s University, Union Mall and Central Lad Phrao Mall. There is an MRT Underground Station nearby and very soon, a BTS Sky Train station, too. See map below.
The construction of the present church began with then Pope John Paul II (now a Catholic saint) casting the first stone during his visit to Thailand in 1984. Its hexagonal bell tower has a height of 43 meters.
