Khaosan Road in Bangkok, Thailand

>I Love Khaosan

Khaosan Road in Bangkok, Thailand is where people from all corners of the world party night after night. It is a short street in the old part of the city, about 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) north of the Grand Palace and Wat Pho and a walking distance from the Democracy Monument. See map below for exact location.

Khaosan Road is a world unto itself. Dubbed as a backpackers’ paradise, numerous cheap hotels and hostels are found here and in the nearby areas. It is a weird, wild and wet world where people eat, drink, sing, dance, chat, and shop as if there is no tomorrow.  This is in fact one of the best attractions for tourists in Thailand. Here, you can find affordable bars and eateries, shops for clothings and other merchandise, massage parlors and what else, travel agencies. Convenience stores and western fastfood chains are everywhere.

During the day, the Khaosan Road looks like an ordinary Bangkok street but as soon as the sun sets, it is closed to motorists and the fun begins.
