Career / Work Experiences
Atty. Lora entered the legal profession in 2018 and quickly became a key figure in the “new generation” of people’s lawyers. He is a member of the National Union of Peoples’ Lawyers (NUPL) – Cebu and a litigator for the Visayas Community Law Center, where he provides pro bono legal services to activists, farmers, and cultural workers. His career is marked by several high-profile legal victories, including the acquittal of the “Escalante 6” and “Himamaylan 3” political detainees who had faced fabricated charges and securing the release of political prisoners such as Liezyl Anne Gomez. He has also been active in challenging cases related to the Anti-Terrorism Act and securing writs of amparo through the Supreme Court.

In December 2024, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) honored him as the inaugural Human Rights Awardee for the Visayas, a prestigious recognition of his work in a field often described as dangerous for legal practitioners.
