Career
Zion Rose Nelson was formerly the Senior and Junior Filipino national record holder for the 400m (54.18 seconds) and set a new national record for the 200m in 2019 with a time of 23.16 seconds, surpassing Lydia De Vega’s mark. Her international experience began at age 16 when she competed in the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics. She was a member of the Philippine team that won the bronze medal in the women’s 4x100m relay at the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, and individually secured the bronze medal in the women’s 200m at the 2025 SEA Games in Bangkok, Thailand, with a time of 23.50 seconds.
Zion Rose Nelson also played varsity basketball in high school and was named team MVP and Defensive MVP. She listed Michael Jordan as her sports hero.
