Showbiz Career
Rhian Ramos’s entry into the spotlight was somewhat unexpected. She initially began her career as a commercial model, landing one of her first major breaks in a commercial for McDonald’s Philippines.
In 2006, at the age of 15, this commercial success paved the way for her first major acting role in television. She landed the role of Leah Lazaro, the leading lady opposite Richard Gutierrez, in the prime-time series Mars Ravelo’s Captain Barbell (2006–2007). Since her Tagalog was not fluent at the time, adjustments were made to her character to account for this, making her entry into acting a unique initial challenge she quickly overcame.
Her debut film appearance in 2007, The Promise, proved her immediate capability as a dramatic actress, earning her a Golden Screen Award for Breakthrough Performance by an Actress. She quickly transitioned to leading roles in television, notably in Sine Novela: My Only Love (2007–2008).
