Grace West grew up in Detroit, Michigan but moved to Nashville, Tennessee when she was a teenager.
Singing Career
Grace West started singing when she was a kid. She also learned to play her grandfather’s guitar at the age of 12. At school, she joined musical theater productions.
At 19, she auditioned at the American singing contest The Voice where she performed “Maybe It Was Memphis” by Pam Tillis. Only two judges turned for her: Niall Horan of the famed One Direction band and country music singer Blake Shelton. She advanced up to the finals where she performed Patsy Cline’s “She’s Got You”. Eventually, she became first runner up to the ultimate champion Gina Miles.
