Ai Ai worked as a saleslady in a department store. Later, she became a stand-up comedian in different bars in Metro Manila.

Showbiz Career
In 1991, Ai Ai de las Alas started her career in the entertainment industry as a television host of GMA’s program RSVP. In the same year, she became one of the host of the station’s noon time show Lunch Date. In 1998, she transferred ABS-CBN but returned to GMA in 2015.
