History of Isabela

As a town, Isabela was created in 1848 but on April 25, 2001, it charter was a city was approved.

Economy, Business and Investment in Isabela

Isabela is the commercial and financial center of the province but most of the residents are still dependent on farming and fishing as their source of livelihood. Rice, corn and rubber are the most important products of the city. Although there are several tourist spots in the city, travel is still limited to a few hundreds due to peace and order issues as well as lack of transport and lodging facilities.
