History of Pio V. Corpuz
The town of Pio V. Corpuz was originally called Limbuhan. It was created out of several barrios of Cataingan by virtue of Republic Act 641 which was approved by Congress on June 11, 1951 and signed by then President Elpidio Quirino. In 1954, the town got its present name in honor of former Masbate Congressman and Governor, Pio Vicente Corpus.
