History of Malapatan

Malapatan is one of the original towns of Sarangani when the later was created as a province in 1992.

Economy of Malapatan

Agriculture is the main economic activity in Malapatan where rice, corn, coconut and fish are the main products. Trading and other services are done in the town center. The government is promoting tourism as an alternative source of income.
