History of Kidapawan

Kidapawan was founded was a new settlement in 1914. It was established as a municipality on August 18, 1947 and was elevated as a city on February 12, 1998.

Economy, Business and Investment in Kidapawan

Although Kidapawan is the commercial and financial city of the province, agriculture is the main source of livelihood for many of its residents. It is an important producer of rice, corn and fruits such as banana, mango, mangosteen, lanzones, and durian.
