History of Dingalan
The Dumagat tribal people were the first settlers of Dingalan. Previously, it was a territory of Baler, the capital of Aurora Province. Then it became a barrio of San Luis. On June 16, 1962, Dingalan was declared a regular municipality by virtue of Republic Act No. 3490 signed by President Diosdado Macapagal.
Economy of Dingalan
Dingalan is an agricultural town. Most of the residents are fishermen and farmers. Fish, coconut, and rice are the main products. Some families are engaged in the production of handicraft items and home-made food products.
Tourism is an important segment of the local economy. Many resorts lined up the long coast of Dingalan.
