“To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.”
Not all great products were made perfectly on first try. Not even on second or third. As a matter of fact, many of those gadgets are products of more than a thousand and one trials.
We are humans and as such, we are prone to make mistakes. Yet mistakes are not mortal sins. The fear of them is. There is no greater regret than giving up on the first few experiments.
In every endeavor, patience and understanding are the main ingredients to keep going. Patience to continue and understanding not to commit the same mistake in the next step.
The fear of being wrong is indeed a powerful hindrance to a creative life. We all have the capacity to be creative and to succeed but many times we are incapacitated by this particular fear. We must either lose it or live a mediocre life.
