In the May 13, 2019 election, Incumbent Mayor Bernard Brioso ran under the banner of the Nationalist people’s Coalition (NPC) and defeated former vice mayor Rommel Bulaong of the PDP-Laban Party and Jose Dy Jr. of the Labor Party of Philippines.
